Donggook Buddhist Chonbop College
was founded by Dr. Hu Sung-hyun with the purpose to train the morality teachers
in February 1987 (B.E. 2530). The college thereafter was registered to the
Korean Buddhist Jogye Order as an Educational Institute for Buddhist Dhamma
Teachers. As the Buddhist Institute, its roles in educational operations
include provision of learning resources of both Theravada and Mahayana
Buddhism, supports of Buddhist research and promotion of Buddhist dissemination
within domestic and oversea regions. In 2014 (B.E. 2557), the college that was affiliated
by MCU produced 90 bachelor degree graduates, 23 master degree graduates and 2
doctoral degree graduates. The graduates now become the propagators of
Theravada Buddhism in Korea. The college offers Vipassanā meditation training or

Every Autumn and Spring of each
