พระดำรัส พระเจ้าหลานเธอ พระองค์เจ้าสิริวัณณวรีนารีรัตน์ ในพิธีเปิดการประชุมชาวพุทธนานาชาติ เนื่องในวันวิสาขบูชา วันสำคัญสากลของโลก ประจำปี ๒๕๕๒ ณ หอประชุมพุทธมณฑล จังหวัดนครปฐม วันจันทร์ ที่ ๔ พฤษภาคม พ.ศ. ๒๕๕๒
  สมเด็จพระบรมโอรสาธิราชฯ สยามมกุฎราชกุมาร ทรงพระกรุณาโปรดเกล้าโปรดกระหม่อม ให้ข้าพเจ้ามาปฏิบัติพระราชกรณียกิจแทนพระองค์ ในพิธีเปิดการประชุมชาวพุทธนานาชาติ เนื่องในวันวิสาขบูชาโลก ประจำปี ๒๕๕๒ ในวันนี้
                     พระพุทธเจ้าเป็นผู้ทรงพระคุณอันประเสริฐ ด้วยทรงนำหลักธรรมมาสั่งสอนแก่ชาวโลก เพื่อความสุขสงบและความเจริญ ทั้งแก่บุคคลผู้ปฏิบัติและแก่สังคมส่วนรวม การที่ชาวพุทธในทุกส่วนทุกภูมิภาคของโลก ได้อุตสาหะมาร่วมประชุมเนื่องในวันวิสาขบูชา ซึ่งเป็นวันประสูติ ตรัสรู้ ปรินิพพานของพระพุทธเจ้า เพื่อทำกิจกรรมร่วมกัน รวมทั้งหาทางเผยแผ่หลักธรรมคำสอนในพระพุทธศาสนาให้แพร่หลายยิ่งขึ้น นับเป็นการบำเพ็ญกรณียกิจเพื่อประโยชน์สุขของชาวโลกโดยแท้ ข้าพเจ้าขออนุโมทนาด้วยอย่างยิ่ง ในกิจอันเป็นกุศลทั้งนี้ทุกประการ
ในพระนามาภิไธยสมเด็จพระบรมโอรสาธิราชฯ สยามมกุฎราชกุมาร ข้าพเจ้าขอเปิดการประชุมชาวพุทธนานาชาติ เนื่องในวันวิสาขบูชาโลก ประจำปี ๒๕๕๒ ณ บัดนี้.

                       His Royal Highness, the Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Thailand, has very graciously asked me to represent him here today at the opening ceremony of the International Buddhist Conference on the United Nations Day of Vesak 2009.
The Buddhas teachings provide all of the virtues necessary for discovering the Dhamma and preaching it throughout the world for the sake of the peace, happiness and welfare of both                        the individual and the world as a whole.  I do indeed appreciate all your wholesome activities in exploring the various ways and means of disseminating the Buddhas teachings for the genuine welfare and happiness of the world.
                       In the name of His Royal Highness, the Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Thailand, I now hereby declare the International Buddhist Conference on the United Nations Day of Vesak celebrations of 2009 open.
