Assistant to the Rector for Foreign Affairs joins a seminar at U.S. Embassy, Bangkok

On 30 September, 2563/2020 at 13:00-16:00 U.S. Embassy Bangkok: Phra Sophonvachirabhorn (Sawai Chotiko), Vice Rector for Foreign Affairs, has assigned Dr. Phra Seng Hurng Narindo, Assistant to the Rector for Foreign Affairs, who is a presentative to join a roundtable dialogue of sharing perspectives on religious freedom. The roundtable taken place is at U.S. Embassy, Wireless Road, Patumwan, Bangkok.

The roundtable dialogue commemorates the 142nd anniversary of King Rama V’s issuance of the Edict of Religious Toleration in 1878. In recognition of this important historical event, U.S Embassy is to provide a forum and invited prominent representatives from Thailand’s five recognized religions as Buddhism, Islam, Christianity, Brahmin-Hinduism, and Sikhism. They are to join the dialogue on perspectives expanding freedom of religion and inter-religious harmony in the present day.
