MCU Hosts Annual Gratitude Day 2026 to Honor and Celebrate the Contributions of Retiring Personnel

Ayutthaya – 25 September 2026, Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University (MCU) hosted its annual "Gratitude Day" for the year 2026 to express profound appreciation and commemorate the contributions of its retiring personnel, who have long dedicated themselves to the institution. Prof. Dr. Phra Brahmawatcharatheeracharn, Rector of MCU, presided over the ceremony at the MVK 48th Anniversary Building in Lam Sai Subdistrict, Wang Noi District, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, amidst an atmosphere filled with warmth and immense joy.

The ceremony commenced with university administrators, faculty members, and staff, comprising both monastics and laity from the central administration, regional campuses, and colleges, welcoming and paying their respects to the most venerable presiding chair. Following this, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phra Thepwajarasarabandit, Vice Rector for Planning and Development, presented a report to the president over the ceremony.

Subsequently, Dr. Phramaha Phairot Kanako, Director of Central Administration Division, Office of the Rector, introduced the retirees and read their citations of honor. On this auspicious occasion, the Rector kindly presented certificates of appreciation to commemorate their service and delivered words of blessing to offer moral support as the retiree transition into the next chapter of their lives. This year, a total of 42 monastic and lay personnel reached their retirement.

In addition to the certificate presentation, a Buddhist chanting ceremony was held to confer auspicious blessings upon the gathering. University administrators and representatives jointly presented alms and basic requisites to the monks. Furthermore, commemorative gifts were presented to the retiring personnel as a token of gratitude, bringing the ceremony to a graceful and honorable conclusion.
