Ayutthaya — 15 September 2026, Phra Rajsuddhivajrasudhi, Assoc. Prof. Dr., Vice Rector for Research and Innovations at Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University (MCU), together with the executive team from Office of Library and Information Technology, welcomed faculty members from Department of Eastern Philosophy and Culture, Faculty of Letters, Toyo University, Japan. The visit aimed to discuss and elevate international academic collaboration between the two institutions.

A key agenda of the discussion was the preparation for the upcoming "Thailand Study Program 2027," during which Toyo University is scheduled to bring a delegation of students and faculty for a study visit to MCU's Campus Headquarter in Lam Sai, Wang Noi, Ayutthaya.

Furthermore, both institutions explored avenues to expand their academic network in conjunction with the International Buddhist Studies College (IBSC). Toyo University expressed its readiness to exchange in-depth knowledge regarding Mahayana Buddhism, Buddhist scriptures, and the evolution of Buddhism in Japan. This knowledge will be integrated with MCU’s expertise in Theravada Buddhism and Vipassana meditation through future special lectures and international student exchange initiatives.

This meeting marks a significant milestone in fostering fruitful relations and establishing a robust global network for Buddhist education.
