Bangladesh Buddhist Students Club of MCU Hosts Grand Anniversary Celebration 2026, Highlighting Academic Panel and New Book Launch

Ayutthaya – 23 September 2026, Bangladesh Buddhist Students Club of Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University (MCU) hosted a momentous event, the "Anniversary Celebration 2026," at the I-Mind Room, International Buddhist Studies College (IBSC), Phra Brahmapandit Building (IBSC Building 2).

The ceremony commenced at 12:45 p.m., kindly presided over by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phra Panyawacharabandhit, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, who delivered the keynote address. Following this, Dr. Phrakhrusamuh Wachirawich Thitavamso, Director of the IBSC, and Phramaha Siriwat Panyawuttho, Acting Director of IBSC Academic Office, jointly shared academic guidance with the students and attendees.

On this auspicious occasion, the celebration was highly honored by the presence of H.E. Andalib Elias, Ambassador of Bangaladesh to Thailand and Permanent Representative to UNESCAP, who delivered the official opening remarks.

The event featured a series of engaging academic activities, notably the official launch of the translated book called "The Buddha's Guidance and Wisdom," a highly valued work by Venerable Dr. Ashin Sumanacara.

Another major highlight of the event was the Academic Panel Discussion, moderated by Venerable Dr. Lablu Barua (Thirasattho Bhikkhu). The session included a special lecture by Dr. Sanjoy Barua Chowdhury, who was joined by distinguished panelists Venerable Dr. Dharma Priya Bhikkhu and Dr. Mithila Chowdhury to exchange their academic insights and perspectives.
