Ayutthaya — Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University (MCU) officially commenced its bachelor's degree level final examination for the first semester of the 2026 academic year on Thursday, 8 October 2026. High-ranking administrators including Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phra Thepwatcharasarabandit, Vice-Rector for Planning and Development, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phra Panyawatcharabandit, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, along with the administrative team, visited the exam venues to supervise and boost the morale of the students.
At 1:00 PM, the official opening ceremony for the Semester 1/2026 examination took place in front of the Office of the Registration and Evaluation on the 3rd floor of the Somdet Phra Phutthacharn Kiao Upasana Mahathera Building (Classroom Building) at MCU, Wang Noi, Ayutthaya. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phra Panyawatcharabandit, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, presided over the ceremony by leading the students in paying homage to the Triple Gem and delivering an opening address prior to the examinations.
"I have emphasized that students should maintain 'mindfulness and full awareness' while taking the exams, applying Buddhist principles alongside the academic knowledge they have acquired. I urge everyone to be honest with themselves and do their absolute best. Furthermore, I would like to leave you with the thought that examination scores are merely a part of evaluation, but possessing knowledge coupled with moral virtue is the true goal of Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University, which focuses on developing both intellect and virtue through religious principles."
The final examination for Semester 1/2026 is scheduled for a total of 13 days, from 8-20 October 2026, with a total of 1,655 students at the Main Campus participating across 351 courses. For the first day alone, the university organized the general classroom building space to accommodate 81 subjects utilizing a total of 60 exam rooms, consisting of 67 subjects in the Thai program and 14 subjects in the English Program (EP).
Additionally, the university has scheduled central examination (Standardized Examination) for General Education (Gen Ed) courses on 16 October 2026, simultaneously nationwide. On that day, over 19,000 bachelor’s degree students nationwide will take three subjects concurrently. For the main campus, exams will be held at 48-Year MVK Auditorium, while regional exams will take place at each campus, college, and academic service unit. The university has meticulously arranged morning and afternoon session distributions to ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness in the examination process.
